Welcome

Welcome to The Becoming Collective.

Here, nutrition is about more than food. Together, we explore the ways our relationship with food, body, health, and life influence one another — and, ultimately, how we relate to ourselves.

Whether you are

  • Navigating eating disorder recovery
  • Seeking freedom from years of dieting and negative body image
  • Supporting an adolescent or young adult through recovery
  • Moving through pregnancy or postpartum
  • Managing a chronic health condition — diabetes, hypertension, celiac disease, food intolerances, IBS, and more
  • Building a new life abroad

This work is individualized to your unique needs and current life circumstances.

The Becoming Framework

Nourish. Trust. Embody.

Three interconnected pillars will guide us.

Nourish

Caring for your body without diet-culture pressure — grounded in evidence-based nutrition.

Trust

Rebuilding trust in your body, your choices, and yourself.

Embody

Feeling confident in applying what you learn into how you actually live.

Kind Words

From the women I've worked with.

Working with Rachel over the past year and a half has truly changed my life. She helped me heal my relationship with food and overcome my eating disorder in a way I never thought was possible. Because of her, I'm able to surf, lift weights, spend time with the people I love, and live a full life while feeling properly fueled. I finally feel like I have my light back — I have my personality back. I'm so grateful for her guidance, compassion, and unwavering support.

I've never felt so seen. Rachel has a gift for making you feel truly cared for while offering thoughtful, practical guidance that leads to lasting change. Working together helped me build a more compassionate and sustainable relationship with food and myself.

I genuinely look forward to our sessions every week, and the advice she gives me has truly helped me to see hard things differently. I am so grateful for Rachel's help, and I can't wait to continue working with her.

The Becoming Framework

Nourish. Trust. Embody.

Three interconnected pillars that guide every coaching relationship. Rather than separate steps, they work together — supporting the way you care for your body, reconnect with yourself, and carry that work into everyday life.

I

Nourish

Care for your body.

Nourishment begins with meeting your body's needs with consistency, compassion, and curiosity — not criticism or control.

Together, we move beyond diet culture, food rules, and all-or-nothing thinking to build a way of eating that feels nourishing, flexible, and sustainable. Food becomes a source of care and enjoyment rather than something to fear or perfect.

Depending on your goals, this work may include eating disorder recovery, nutrition for chronic health conditions, pregnancy, or simply learning to eat with greater confidence and ease.

II

Trust

Reconnect with yourself.

Healing often begins by learning to listen again.

Together, we cultivate trust in your body's signals, your choices, and your ability to care for yourself. Over time, this creates more space for flexibility, confidence, and self-compassion — and less room for fear, perfectionism, and external rules.

This work may include body image support, rebuilding trust in hunger and fullness signals after chronic dieting or an eating disorder, navigating emotional eating, and reconnecting with your body's innate wisdom.

III

Embody

Live what you've learned.

Growth becomes meaningful when it begins to shape everyday life.

Embodiment is the practice of bringing what you've learned beyond our sessions and into the moments that matter most — sharing meals with friends, navigating pregnancy, settling into a new country, caring for your health, or moving through an ordinary Tuesday with greater presence and confidence.

Healing isn't separate from life. It becomes part of the way you live it — not through perfection, but through greater trust, flexibility, and self-connection.

Why This Framework

Because every woman arrives with a different story, but the work often shares a common foundation.

01

Evidence Before Trends

Grounded in nutrition science rather than fear, misinformation, or diet culture.

02

Flexible, Not Rigid

Your care evolves alongside your goals, health, and everyday life.

03

Whole-Person Focused

Food is one part of the picture. We also consider your environment, health, relationships, identity, values, and lived experiences.

Become more at home in your body.

If this approach resonates, the next step is a simple conversation.

About

Hi, I'm Rachel.

Registered Dietitian and founder of The Becoming Collective.

  • My Story

Like many people, I grew up surrounded by diet culture and the belief that changing my body would lead to confidence and happiness. After years spent chasing that idea, I traveled to Italy and saw a completely new way of approaching food that involved slowing down, connection, culture, and enjoyment. I began questioning everything I thought I knew about nutrition, health, and what it truly meant to care for myself.

Studying nutrition science and intuitive eating challenged many of those previously held beliefs and ultimately inspired me to become a Registered Dietitian. Today, that experience allows me to approach this work with both clinical expertise and genuine empathy for how complex our relationship with food and body can be.

    Clinical Foundation

My approach is informed by experience across:

    • Higher levels of eating disorder care
    • Outpatient nutrition counseling
    • Meal support
    • Medical nutrition therapy
    • Women's health and pregnancy
    • Chronic health conditions
    • Supporting clients through significant life transitions

Working across these settings has shown me that lasting change rarely comes from rigid plans or quick fixes. It comes from individualized care that is grounded in compassion, patience, and a deep understanding of the whole person.

    Living Abroad

    Food, Culture & Belonging

Living in both Hawaii and now Barcelona has deepened my understanding of how culture, identity, and major life changes shape our relationship with food and body.

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is that our relationship with food doesn't exist in isolation. It's shaped by culture, identity, community, and the everyday realities of the lives we're living. Moving to a new place can shift routines, challenge familiar ways of caring for ourselves, and invite us to redefine what nourishment looks like.

That perspective has become an important part of my work, particularly in supporting English-speaking women navigating life abroad and creating a sense of home in a new place.

    What I Believe

At the heart of my practice is the belief that life is too valuable to spend consumed by food rules, body shame, or the pursuit of shrinking yourself. I believe we all have so much more to offer than our appearance.

Food is meant to nourish us, but it is also meant to connect us — to culture, relationships, celebration, and joy. My goal is to help clients find freedom from the patterns that keep them stuck so they can spend less time worrying about food and more time fully in the present.

    My Approach

Four principles that shape the work.

    Evidence-Based

    Compassionate

    Weight-Neutral

    Individualized

If this approach resonates with you, I'd love to connect.

    Good to Know

    Frequently asked questions

Do you only work with women in eating disorder recovery?

No. Clients come for body image, pregnancy and postpartum, chronic health conditions, and adapting to life abroad. If you're working with a therapist or treatment team, I'm glad to coordinate closely with them.

I don't live in Spain — can we still work together?

Yes. Sessions are held virtually and I work with women worldwide. Support for life abroad draws on my own experience, but the approach applies anywhere you're rebuilding routines in a new place.

What if I'm not sure I'm ready?

That's a common place to begin from. Ambivalence tends to be part of the process rather than a barrier to it — we move at whatever pace feels possible.

    If this approach resonates

If this feels aligned with you and your current season of life, I'd be honored to explore whether we're a good fit.
